If you’ve ever wished there was a space where women could talk openly about sexual health, intimacy, and the conditions such as Vaginismus, Vulvodynia, vular pain conditions that often go unspoken — you’ve just found it.
Hey Gyno! (from “gyno,” the Greek word for woman) is an online community created by Orlagh Reid, dedicated to helping women in Ireland, the UK, and beyond connect, learn, advocate and seek out rehab and integrative treatments together. Women have joined us online over the past two years from all around Ireland, the UK, Germany, France, USA and even the Middle East.
Why I set up the Hey Gyno! Community
Many women live with sexual conditions such as vaginismus, vulvodynia, dyspareunia, lichen sclerosus (LS), and other forms of vulvar pain — yet few spaces exist where they can safely share, ask questions, and find reliable information.
That’s where the Hey Gyno! Community comes in. Each month, Orlagh hosts the community live online groups, workshops, and conversations featuring guest health professionals and fellow women who truly understand what you’re going through.
Here, we talk about the topics that matter most — the ones that too often stay behind closed doors:
- Q&A sessions
- Relaxation and mindfulness
- Book of the month
- Dating, relationships, and intimacy
- Fertility and pleasure
- Sexual dysfunction, eduation and holistic pleasure
- Managing pain and alleviating symptoms
- Femtech and female sexual wellness
- Navigating medical care and regular health checkups
- And, most importantly — reclaiming confidence and connection with your body
Led by Orlagh Reid — Psychotherapist, Coach, Sexual Health Promotion Faciliator and Writer
