Vaginismus Support Group – Let’s Reconnect! Plus Top 10 Tips For Better Sexual Wellbeing with vaginismus and sexual pain this autumn

Happy September!
I hope you all had a lovely summer. I certainly enjoyed the break, but I’m really looking forward to seeing you all again, hearing how you’re getting on, and hopefully meeting you online throughout the autumn as we kickstart the Hey Gyno! Vaginismus Community again for the Autumn period.

You’re invited: Hey Gyno Community Chat & Mini Workshop
Tuesday, 15th September at 7:30pm Irish time
Online via Zoom
€12.50 per session
This is your opportunity to create some space for yourself, make time for yourself, connect with other women, have some fun, learn some new information and set some goals for the autumn months.
I’m sure you’ve got plenty to share, plenty to talk about and plenty of questions right now. I don’t know about you, but I’ve really missed this space.
Our last workshop was Smears Without Fears, and I’m sure plenty of you will have updates to share since then.
A small change to help us build the community
There is going to be one change going forward, and I appreciate that this might feel difficult for some of you.
I’m going to be asking everyone to please keep their cameras on during the evening (as much as possible).
If you wish, you can blur your background. You can be in your car, sitting on your bed, or wherever you feel comfortable. You don’t need to have a perfect background or look a certain way.
What I do want to create is an empowered, supportive and shame-free space where we can actually see and connect with one another.
All the women in this group are here for one reason: to improve their sexual health and wellbeing.
Like many of you, I also have gyno conditions, and I know how powerful it can be to sit, talk, share, connect and support other women who understand what you are going through.
So, going forward, I’m encouraging all of us to take that step together.
You will still be welcome to switch your camera off and on during the session if you need to. There is no judgement. The aim is to gradually break through embarrassment and shame, build confidence and strength, feel more comfortable in yourself, and ultimately build our community.
You’ll also be able to use the chat function and ask questions throughout the evening. You’ll be invited to turn on your audio if you want to share or chat, and you can use the reactions button to let us know how you’re doing.
Our mini workshop: 10 things you need to know right now
I’m going to kickstart our Tuesday evening with:
10 Things You Need to Know to Improve Your Vaginismus, Sexual Pain & Gyno Conditions Right Now
I’m going to take you through what I believe are 10 really important elements that can help you move towards resolving vulvar pain, feeling more confident in yourself, taking control and feeling more in control.
We’ll be looking at a range of areas, including:
- Femtech
- Pelvic physiotherapy
- Psychosexual therapy
- Breathwork
- Mindset and confidence
- Sexual wellbeing
- Practical strategies you can begin exploring now
Hopefully, by the end of the hour, you’ll have some great ideas, practical takeaways and perhaps a few things you want to try or explore further.
I’ll do my best to keep these evenings to 60 minutes, because I know you have other important things going on in your life.

Please book early
The cost of the Hey Gyno Community evening is €12.50.
We need a minimum of five women for each evening to go ahead.
What tends to happen is that people decide to book at the last minute. If there aren’t enough bookings, the session may need to be cancelled and moved to another date.
So please book early and in advance if you would like the evening to go ahead.
Come and join us
Whether you’re new to the community, you’ve been here a few times before, or you’ve been quietly following along, you are welcome.
